What’s happening, everyone? We’ve had a huge slew of news lately, so let’s keep it going strong! Square Enix’s e-STORE just updated with a page for the first Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] novel [Side Sora]! The book consists of a total of 242 pages and will cost 800円 (roughly $10.21 USD). No doubt there will be plenty of new information that isn’t included in the game, so if you can read Japanese or are just a fan of collecting Kingdom Hearts merchandise, go check it out!

Hello everybody!

Square Enix Europe has sent out a press release today, which included new English screenshots of Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]. These screens are of cutscenes from the Fantasia-based world Symphony of Sorcery and the Tron: Legacy-based world The Grid. Also with the press release is an announcement of the large returning cast for the game, which you can read below.

• Haley Joel Osment as Sora
• David Gallagher as Riku
• Leonard Nimoy as Master Xehanort
• Hayden Panettiere as Xion
• Jesse McCartney as Roxas and Ventus
• Quinton Flynn as Axel/Lea

After the recent onslaught of Japanese merchandise, surely we must be writhing in our seats at the possibility of the items coming over to western shores, right? For the official artwork for Donald and Goofy, Nomura would start with a rough draft, then send it over to a Disney designer to draw. After receiving the drawing, he’d draw it once more himself, making few changes from the designer’s redraw. He drew their Atlantica and Halloween Town forms from beginning to end though.

Makes you wonder if he still does that. Probably not, but it would be kind of cute if Nomura still sent design drafts to Disney to correct. What do you think?

The official Square Enix Game Bookstore updated tonight with the cover of the first Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]novel, which can be viewed below.

Beautiful isn’t it? The novel, entitled “Side Sora” will be released on June 28th for 800 yen(roughly $8.20 USD).
